GRADES

Assignments are due one class after they are assigned, unless specified.
  • On-time assignments earn an A.
  • Late assignments earn a C.
  • Non-existent assignments earn an F (obvious of course).
GRADES:
I post all assignments in Infinite Campus under each Standard. They include: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening, and Behaviors that Support Learning.

I give grades in Reading (100 pages/week=A) and Comprehension (thinking)
I will be grading the quality of your Writing in terms of grammar, attempts at stretching beyond what might be comfortable, and whether or not the assignment fulfilled the requirements as outlined.
You will also receive grades in Research and Speaking/Listening throughout the year. I plan to do research and speaking in informal settings in the beginning and larger, more formal assignments as we learn the skills necessary.

We will be doing some kind of research project, a requirement for graduation. The form of this project is is under consideration. I do know it will involve quite a few parts and pieces, many of which you will do as we move through the year. Be thinking of something you might want to research and who you might interview, a big requirement of the research project.

More info coming soon.
